Maestro Bickram Ghosh is widely considered to be one of India's greatest versatile artists. He is one of the rare artists who excels in three musical fields simultaneously. These are Indian Classical, Fusion and Film scoring.

He has played on several Grammy nominated albums and one Grammy awarded album. He also has an Oscar contention to his credit. He has recently been selected for the highest music award of India - the Sangeet Natak Academy Puraskar. Bickram Ghosh is also heralded for being one of the driving forces of experimental fusion music. Further, he is also an extremely successful film music director having scored for 52 feature films, one of which got him the coveted Oscar contention. Having performed the world over with the greatest names in classical music (especially Pt. Ravi Shankar with whom he played for over a decade), Bickram later went on to form his band Rhythmscape. Bickram's subsequent super successful solo albums have consolidated his position as a pioneer of a new fusion sound. Rhythmscape, Bickram's signature band performed at the Forum at Barcelona where the band shared the stage with Sting, Phil Collins, Norah Jones and Bob Dylan. Bickram Ghosh was the brand ambassador for the Indian Election commission in 2011 in West Bengal. He has over 200 albums to his credit and his albums have won numerous awards. He has recently been awarded an honorary doctorate in music. He is the receipient of the Banga Bhushan and Sangeet Maha Samman, highest honours from the state of West Bengal. He won the Uttam Kumar Samman, the highest state award for film scoring. He recently won the Filmfare award for his score for the film Avijatrik. Bickram has scored music for some of the biggest hit films in Bengal. His super-hit scores include the Byomkesh series, the Shabor franchise (both directed by Arindam Sil), the Guptodhon series and the recent hit Golondaaj (directed by Dhrubo Banerjee)and films like kadambari, Nobel Chor and Basu Paribar directed by Suman Ghosh. His latest film Karnasubarner Guptodhon is the greatest hit in bangla in a decade. Hindi film scores by Bickram include films like Little Zizou, Jal and Sanjay Dutt's last hit Torbaaz. In 2012 Bickram had recreated the Indian National song Vande Mataram with 22 of India's greatest musicians. Bickram has four GIMA (Global Indian Music Award) awards to his credit. Bickram performed at the finale of the Commonwealth Games in 2010. He represented India for the 150 years' celebration of Rabindranath Tagore's birth at Unesco, Paris in 2012. He composed and presented an extravaganza with 120 artists for the T20 World Cup finals in 2016. In 2022, Bickram, along with Gramy winner Ricky Kej, composed for the prestigious Vande Bharatam project which was showcased with 500 dancers of the Republic Day Parade. The son and disciple of the illustrious tabla maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh Bickram also learnt the intricacies of Carnatic percussion from Vidwaan S.Sekhar.

Ghosh’s style of fusion drumming is hybrid and he brings much of his Tabla learning and finger technique to the craft . In this module Ghosh imparts fundamental lessons in groove, and multipercussion, covering various drums such as Djembe, Daraboukka , congas, bongos, and handsonic. He also teaches his signature style of Body Drumming which is world famous now. The style of drumming taught with each instrument is unique to Ghosh . His distinctive teaching style not only covers certain technical aspects but also encapsulates the cultural essence of Rhythm as a universal language. As students explore the intricacies of rhythm under Ghosh's tutelage, they gain a holistic understanding of how diverse percussion elements seamlessly fuse together, creating a vibrant and harmonious musical experience.
